The Other Kind of Networking
In a recent national poll of more than 1,400 CIOs commissioned
by international technology staffing firm Robert Half
Technology, 29 percent of IT executives polled –
a clear majority – recommend that those starting a career
in information technology should specialize in network management.
“A fundamental understanding of network management is also
the basis for positions in growing areas such as information systems
security, wireless communication, broadband and voice over Internet
protocol (VoIP),” says Robert Half Technology executive
director Katherine Spencer Lee.
