The parent company of Enterprise Bank & Trust announced recently that it has now amassed more than $2 billion in combined banking and trust assets. “This is exceptional performance,” says Kevin Eichner, CEO of Enterprise Financial Services Corp., the parent company of Enterprise Bank & Trust. “Of course, the real driver is our people. They have the talent, strength and passion to keep this momentum going – to carry us for many years to come.”

On Saturday, July 24, Ladue Crossing MaggieMoo’s owner Jason Brown opened a new MaggieMoos’s location in Creve Coeur at 11427 Olive Blvd. in West Oak Plaza. This is the first of four new locations his company, Brown Cow LLC. is planning for the St. Louis market. To celebrate this growth, Brown is giving 10 local families free ice cream for a year through the Mama Maggie partnership with Missouri Baptist Medical Center. All babies born on July 24 will receive free ice cream treats from the Ladue and new Creve Coeur location.

In other tasty news, the long-awaited grand opening of Clayton’s new Krispy Kreme occurred on Monday, July 26. Located at the corner of Central and Forsyth in a former Taco Bell location, the nascent donut shop employed an aerial banner pulled by an airplane and a vintage Krispy Kreme delivery vehicle to proclaim its arrival. With the headquarters of the St. Louis County Police Department just across the street, an intersection with a Krispy Kreme on one corner and a Starbucks on the other seems to make a lot of sense.

On June 2, Benjamin Akande, dean of the School of Business and Technology at Webster University, and his wife Bola, hosted Lord and Lady Paul at their home in Town and Country. Lord Paul of Marylebone is a member of the British House of Lords and chairman of Caparo Group Ltd., of which the Bull Moose Tube Company, based in Chesterfield, is a subsidiary.
