Financial for Lutherans Foundation has approved
a $70,000 grant to Concordia Seminary
for its Congregational Support Initiative. The grant

16th annual Budweiser “Guns ’n Hoses”
boxing matches between area police officers and firefighters
raised more than $163,000 for the St. Louis
Backstoppers, an organization that provides
financial assistance to the families of officers lost
in the line of duty. The event, sponsored by Grey
Eagle Distributors, drew a crowd of 17,293
to the Savvis Center, where the firefighters reclaimed
the trophy with a 12-5 victory. |
